Since the establishment of the treasure show, the antique market has begun to flourish. Some of the doorways and terminology used to identify antiques, such as "hand palm", "eye-catching", and "scratching mud" have become known to women and children. But in fact, this is a very dangerous phenomenon. People's enthusiasm for antiques is increasing day by day, but the ability to forensic antiques has always been at a very low level.

The practice of antiques requires years of practical experience plus theoretical knowledge. Any one of the categories wants to understand that it has not been done for decades. There are a lot of fakes on the market today, most of which are low imitation goods. The level of counterfeiters is not high, and the workmanship is rough, and often reveals some common sense flaws. If we master some blind spots of knowledge, we can also detect some relatively obvious flaws and not be deceived.

For example, Li Bai has a poem called "Quan Ye Si". This poem is backed by everyone, but in fact, the original text of this poem is not the version we are familiar with. In the "Millions of Tang Dynasty Quatrains" of Hong Mai in the Song Dynasty, the original poem was "Looking at the moonlight in front of the bed, suspecting the frost on the ground. Looking up at the mountains and moons, looking down at the hometown." In the Ming Dynasty, "The Ten Thousand Tang Dynasty Quatrains" was revised, and "Healing the Moon and Looking at the Moon" was changed to "Looking at the Moon". In the Qing Dynasty, Shen Deqian’s "Tang Poetry", the first sentence "Looking at the moonlight in front of the bed" was changed to "the moonlight in front of the bed." I went to the Qiantang Retreat to compile the "Three Hundred Tang Poems" and integrated the two sentences together. If someone wants to sell you a screen, it is said that it is in the Ming Dynasty, and it is engraved with the full poem "Quan Ye Si". When you look at it in the past and find that the first sentence at the beginning is "the moonlight in front of the bed", you can throw the fake directly out of the door.

For example, Lu You has a "Shower", which is also well known. At the beginning of the sentence, "Death to Know Everything", in fact, the original version was written "Death to Know Everything", because before the Ming Dynasty, "original" and "original knowledge" were written as "Yuanlai" and "Yuanzhi" The yuan word is originally intended to be original. Later, Zhu Yuanzhang was suspected of being in the Yuan Dynasty, and even the Yuan characters could not be seen. He ordered that the "Yuanlai" be changed to "the original", which became the current usage. After understanding this blind spot of knowledge, if someone shows you the same antiques of the Southern Song Dynasty, the words "original" appear in it, no need to do other identification, it must be fake.

There is also an idiom called "Talking on Paper", which is said to be Zhao Kuo's talk, and was killed in Changping by 400,000 Zhao Jun. Think carefully, Zhao Kuo was a man in the Warring States Period. When was paper invented? In the Western Han Dynasty, there was just a prototype of paper. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cai Lun, the real paper appeared. In fact, the idiom "paper talks on the soldiers" first appeared, and it was almost the time of the Republic of China to be associated with Zhao Kuo at the end of the Qing Dynasty. If you see a story in an ancient book that mentions Zhao Buzhi’s talk about it, it’s no doubt that it’s thrown away.

Previously, there was a pair of Ming Dynasty blue-and-white warm water bottles in the antique world. It was very delicate. The owner claimed that it was used by Zheng He. But when the title of the thermos bottle is revealed, even a layman like me is happy. The title is written as "Ming Chengzu Zhu's Emperor's Palace Royal Emperor Daming Yongle six years of Wuziqiu". Some people with a lot of common sense in literature and history know that Ming Chengzu is the temple number, and the emperor died. How could it appear in Yongle for six years?

Some people argued that the temple number might be prepared by the emperor during his lifetime. This is another standard blind spot of knowledge. In fact, the temple number after Zhu Xi’s death was Ming Taizong. It was only a hundred years later that when the Emperor Jiajing was in office, he changed the temple number of Zhu Xi to Ming Chengzu. Later generations used to call Cheng Zu Zhu, but people at that time would never have called it.
