The ancient buttons made of jadeite have not been mined for a long time, and have a history of more than 600 years. The introduction of jade to China was in the Ming Dynasty, the Ming and Qing dynasties, and jade crafts were popular in China. From the Yongchang of Yunnan, Tengchong to the Myitkyina of Kachin State of Myanmar, it is the road to carry out gem trade, and it is called “Jade Road” and “Baojing Road”. Tengchong is also known for its important position in jade trade and processing.

The early jadeite was not expensive, and its worth was not high. It was not valued by the Chinese. Qing Jixiao (1724--1805) wrote in the "Notes on Reading the Cottage": "The weight of the cover is not the fashion of the time. Dingtan also remembers that when ginseng, ginseng, coral, and lapis lazuli, the price is not expensive, today is the day....Yunnan jade jade, not at that time, but like Lantian dry yellow, strong name jade Ears, today is a treasure, the price is far from the real jade." It can be seen that at the beginning of the 18th century, the ancients did not think that jadeite was jade, and jadeite was cheap.
