Some media reports: A brand of home textiles contains azo dyes that decompose "aromatic amines" and failed to pass the test. According to experts, after the use of this dye in textiles, in the long-term contact with the human body, the dye may be absorbed by the skin and spread in the human body. Under the biochemical reaction conditions of the normal metabolism of the human body, a reduction reaction may occur to decompose the carcinogenic aromatic amine. Seeing such reports, let consumers cheer, an ordinary home textile product can affect people's health and lead to cancer, it is terrible.

Therefore, the quality of home textile products has attracted special attention from Xiaobian recently. The quality we are talking about here is divided into two types, one is the quality of work in the eyes of consumers, the quality of materials, and the other is the safety and quality of home textile products that we mainly talk about today.

What is an Azo Dyes Containing Aromatic Amine Decomposable Aromatic Amine Dyes are dyes synthesized from carcinogenic aromatic amines, as is often said; azo dyes are banned. In the molecular structure of the dye, all of the azo-containing groups are collectively referred to as azo dyes, and the azo group is often bonded to an aromatic ring system to form a yoke system as a color body of the dye.

Azo dyes are the most widely used types of synthetic dyes. There are many direct dyes, acid dyes, disperse dyes, reactive dyes, and cationic dyes all of which are azo dyes. Azo dyes have a wide range of chromatograms, including red, orange, yellow, blue, purple, black, etc., complete in color, good shade, and a certain degree of fastness. It is therefore widely used in the dyeing and printing of a variety of natural and synthetic fibers.

The national standard stipulates that the use of decomposable aromatic amine dyes for home textile products is a skin-friendly product and has long been in contact with human body. In 1994, the German government formally banned the use of certain azo dyes for long-term contact with skin. The Netherlands, France, etc. have also introduced similar regulations.

In China, the national standard GB/T23344-2009 "Determination of textile 4-aminoazo" is restricted to the use of decomposable aromatic amine dyes. This standard was officially implemented on February 1, 2010.

Why do home textile products use decomposable aromatic amine dyes to decompose aromatic amines mainly from azo dyes in clothing. The dyes are used by many small and medium-sized textile and garment manufacturers in textiles, clothing, leather products and home fabrics. For two reasons:

1) Price factor: Most of the green dyes that replace this kind of dyes are imported goods, and the price is 3 to 4 times more expensive.

2) Source factors: azo dyes are simple to manufacture, low in price, complete in color, strong in tinting strength, bright in color and long in color fastness.

Decomposable aromatic amine dyes are seriously harmful to textile safety indicators, and the toxicity and carcinogenicity of decomposable aromatic amines are far stronger than formaldehyde. Because formaldehyde has a pungent odor, it is easy to distinguish, and it is easily soluble in water. After consumers buy back textiles, they can remove most of the formaldehyde by washing with water. However, after decomposing aromatic amine dyes into textiles, they are not only insoluble in water. Moreover, it is colorless and odorless. It cannot be distinguished from the appearance of textiles. It can only be discovered through technical inspection, and it cannot be eliminated. This kind of dye can cause a variety of malignant diseases and absorb cancer after contact with human skin.

Under certain conditions, azo dyes can decompose and reduce more than 20 kinds of aromatic amines with carcinogenicity. During the long-term contact with the human body, the harmful components are absorbed by the skin and spread in the human body, and then The substances released during the normal metabolism of the human body are mixed and a reduction reaction occurs. Under special conditions, it decomposes and produces more than 20 kinds of carcinogenic aromatic amines, which form carcinogenic aromatic amine compounds. After activation, it changes the DNA structure of the human body, causing lesions and inducing malignant tumors, leading to malignant diseases such as bladder cancer, ureteral cancer and renal pelvic cancer. In addition to harming human health, a large amount of sewage is discharged during the production of banned azo dyes, thereby causing serious environmental pollution.

The quality problem of home textile attracts attention. For the quality problem of home textiles, more than 70% of consumers have suffered from the quality problems of home textiles more or less, which proves that the overall quality level of the home textile industry needs to be improved. Among them, fading and color difference accounted for 33.33% of the most serious quality problems of home textile products. The release of formaldehyde and shrinkage deformation factors followed.

It is reported that there are four major problems in home textile products.

The content of the first component is not consistent with the actual content;

The second is the poor color fastness;

The third is that the pH is unqualified;

Fourth, certain ingredients are not used in clothing and bedding.

Home textile products are textiles that are in contact with the human body for a long time. It doesn't matter if the home textiles work poorly, but the lack of safety can affect the body of the person. I hope that companies with conscience will stop playing the health of consumers. I also hope that our regulatory authorities will pay attention to this issue and strictly check the safety of textiles!

Cotton Sateen Fabric

The Cotton Sateen Fabric is produced through the satin weave structure; warp yarns are floated over weft yarns, for example four over and one under. The long floats produce a surface that is smooth to the touch and reduces light scattering to increase shine. Because it is woven by cotton yarns, the Cotton Percale Fabric has good characters of moisture absorption and air permeability. There is cotton sateen bleached fabric, cotton sateen dyed fabric and cotton sateen printed fabric.

Our company, Shijiazhuang Guangda Textile Co., Ltd mainly weaves the cotton sateen fabric using 30s-120s yarns, from 200T to 1000T, in 183cm, 250cm, 280cm, 300cm and 315cm width. And then we bleach or dye or print the cotton sateen fabric and roll on hard paper tubes, cover with plastic bags outside then pack in woven polyester bags. We always use the cotton sateen fabric to make sheets, fitted sheets, Duvet Covers and Pillowcase Slips for home, hotel and hospital.
